David Cook Crowned Winner of American Idol 7 |

 In an upset victory, David COOK was just crowned the winner of season 7 of American Idol. Over 97 million votes were cast since last nights performances, smashing last years record by over 23 million votes. David Cook pulled in 56% of the votes while David Archuleta came up with 44%.
This seasons American Idol grande finale, held at the Nokia Theater, was a star studded extravaganza featuring musical performances by other American Idol contestants as well as a long list of celebrities. Some of the famous faces to light up the stage include the Johnas Brothers, Donna Summers, Brian Adams, George Michael, and ZZ Top.
